My introduction page with a variety of examples is at: http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~mharrsch/dolls/Historicaldolls.html. I plan to produce pages grouping dolls by historical period. My first such group is the French Court:
I hope you find them interesting.

Oh, thought I would share this too...
I was in Philadelphia at the ALA meeting in January and visited the Philadelhia Doll Museum. The specialty is black dolls, and there was a marvelous case of historical black dolls..from Mary Lincoln's seamstress to Chicago mayor Harold Washington.
http://members.tripod.com/~atlantaga10/allcountriesdolls.html My international doll collection page. It is a list of links to country pages and includes a variety of information..links, photographs, correspondence about international dolls.
